Recently, there has been abuzz in media with news that Kabir Khan, Director of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’- starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, is directing a film on counter-terrorism post the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The movie is based on Hussain Zaidi’s story ‘Daniyal Khan’, which is mostly likely to be the movie’s too.
The film will feature Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif in main leads, where Khan will play an agent of a secret institution, like Salman Khan did in Ek Tha Tiger. This won’t be the first time 43-year-old actor will be doing a film on global terrorism, earlier he played a terrorist in ‘Kurbaan’.
Film would be produced under Nadiadwala banner; producer Sajid Nadiadwala has lined up five big-budget releases next year and this could be one of them. The first Nadiawala production is set to release in 2014, and will be directed by Imtiaz Ali starring Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt.
“It’s a sheer coincidence that five of my films are all coming during the same year. I hope I do my job sincerely and make it a worthwhile viewing experience for the audience.” Nadiadwala said in a statement to media.
